Having completed her 5-year general surgery residency at the University of Colorado, she is Board-Certified by the American Board of Surgery, a testament to her focus on patient safety and comfort.
Dr. Emmett practiced as a breast surgeon for several years before she moved to New York City to receive her plastic surgery training at the world-renown Albert Einstein College of Medicine. While in New York, she was privileged to learn not only the traditional techniques of plastic and reconstructive surgery, but she was at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies in cosmetic surgery.
After her plastic surgery training, she was then one of only a handful of surgeons selected from across the country to complete additional training in aesthetic surgery. To further perfect her surgical skills and to distinguish herself from almost all other plastic surgeons, she chose to do a full twelve months of aesthetic surgery and is now one of only a few surgeons in the country who has done so. She did this fellowship at Rose Medical Center in Denver, Colorado.

Recently, Dr. Emmett was among Denver residents that helped outfit fifty-four officers with rifle-ready protective gear. This was part of a fundraising campaign that raised over $470,000 to fund almost 400 kits.
